Recurring Sore Nostrils, Red And Swollen At Base Of Nostril. What Could Be This?

hi, i've had recurring sore nostrils for about a couple of months, it's not severe but doesn't completely clear up. I thought maybe it's a kind of herpes, but there are no sores and it doesnt spread. It's just a little bit red and swollen at the base of each nostril (exterior). What could it be? How can i cure it? should I see a doctor?
sorry i didnt realize this was a paying service
