Recurring Nose Bleeds. Have Congestive Heart Failure. Connected Symptoms?
My mother, Age 86, has had recurring nose bleeds. She is taken to the emergency room where she is put in ICU with congestive heart failure. She was in the hospital one week released and the same thing happened 3 days after being released. Question: Is there a connection between the nose bleeds and heart failure? Thank you...

With the information and as per the history you have given and the complaints your mother may be suffering, I can say that there is no direct relation to nasal bleeding. but at the age of 86, the nasal mucosa is atrophied and more susceptible to nasal bleeding . secondly she may be hypertensive that is also one of the major contributory factor for nasal bleeding in adults. just make sure if she is on dysprin/ecosprin then also she is more prone for this problem.
But still I would suggest you to consult the Specialist if you don’t get relief as on examination the findings may be different and line of treatment may have to be changed. Please don’t hesitate to consult and ask for any more query. i will be pleased to answer.
