Recurring Fever, Chills, Head Aches And Body Pain. Is This A Viral Infection?

HI, My husband seems to have maybe a virus??? He has hot and cold chills, body aches, head aches, It is the 4th time in 3 months it has hit him. Had it last 2 weeks ago and went to an out patients at hospital, had his blood pressure and temp checked. His temp was 37 and his blood pressure was fine, was told to go home and rest and have plenty of vit c. After about 3 days it went away but today at work he is complaining of body aches again. why is this re occurring.

Hi, thank you for posting.

I think that the virus affected his lungs. This is a complicated viral infection but it is the possibility of bacterial infection.
To verify lungs condition you need those test:
-Lungs X-ray.
-Blood test.
-Urine test.

After you get the result your husband will get an antibiotic treatment.

You should contact a pulmonologist.
