Recurrent Oral Thrush In New Born Baby. Can Apply Milk Of Magnesia On His Mouth?
Hey My Son Is 6Weeks Old And He Had Thrush But It Went Away And Now It s Coming Back And I Ran Out Of Medicine From The Last Time He Had It. My Friend Told Me That If I Get A Q-Tip And Rub Milk Of Magnesia On I m His Mouth That I Would Go Away. But I Have No Way To The Doctor Or To The Store And I Have Some Milk Of Magnesia And It Expired Last August. Am I Still Able To Use It?

Oral thrush is a fungal infection of oral mucosa. Thrush to be treated by antifungal drug like Candid mouth paint. Milk of Magnesia has no role in treating oral thrush so stop using it.

oral thrush is quiet common in this age group
if your child is breast fed then you need to see if your nipple area is infected , if so you need to apply the same medication on your nipple area.
you can use antifungal mouth paints and make sure not to scratch the area it is very painful
do not use expired medication. it ll be harmful for your child
