Hello and welcome to HCM,
Dyspepsia and reflux (acid vomit) are not hereditary but they may be related to the lifestyle which is similar in family members.
Pantoprazole will control the symptoms of dyspepsia but it will not cure the underlying problem.
Initially life style modifications need to be done.
These modifications are:
1. Avoid fatty and spicy foods.
2. Avoid beverages at night after dinner.
3. Take a light stroll after dinner.
4. Take light exercises.
5. Keep your head propped up while sleeping.

In order to find out the cause of these symptoms, you can get an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to look for the cause of reflux and gastritis.
Consult a gastroenterologist for an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.
This investigation will allow the doctor to look for any ulcer or any other lesion in the gastric mucosa.
A biopsy will allow to look for any pathological change in the gastric mucosa and thus management.

Thanks and take care
