Recurred Painful Bruise On Foot Near Toes. History Of Fall Of Object On Foot. Will Walking Wrong Way Do More Damage?

Hello,
While in the shower one day I dropped a BJ's economy size conditioner bottle on my foot,
(about 5-6 weeks ago )(embarrassing I know) and at first my foot bruised all over top by toes. Then bruise seemed to go away. Now in the past two weeks a new bruise has shown up further back away from toes and hurts to walk and flex left foot.. I'm walking all the wrong way just to avoid the pain... can I actually do more damage than just a bruise by dropping conditioner on my foot?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain that is persistent with the bruise is likely to be due to a bone injury in the area. It needs a direct examination for proper diagnosis. An X-ray is needed to detect any bone injury.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
