Recovering From Cold. Heavy Chest, Coughing, Fever, Sweating, Feeling Hot. What Is It?

Hi, I am currently getting over a cold , well what I thought was a cold, took some over the counter medicine, and I still feel that my chest is heavy, I m still coughing up stuff, dizzy, kind of out of my sorts, fever on and off but the big thing I want to know is I m sweating like crazy, and I am burning hot all day for the past week. What may this be?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM

After going through history you suffered a URI that is Upper Respiratory Tract Infection usually caused by virus,but some times it gets secondary bacterial infection,and there can be post infective bronchitis.

That is why still cough is present and fever is persisting .

Please consult a Physician and after examination a CBC and Skiagram may be required and proper antibiotics and other medicines you will recover as early as possible.

Even persiparation is a part of your illness.

This looks like lower respiratory infection and pneumonia needs to be ruled out.
