Reason For Swollen, Pus-filled, Bleeding Bump On Thigh?

My husband recently had a bump on his thigh that we thought was an ingrown hair or bite. It got really swollen and puss and blood would come out. He went to the doctor who put him on antibiotics and it slowly went away leaving scar tissue...this was about 1-2 weeks ago. Now the same thing is happening on the same leg only on his calf! Any ideas what it is or what's going on?

Hi. This is due to skin infection, repeated due to local problems of the skin or environment. You have to rule out diabetes. Application of liquid povidone iodine to the legs before and after bath helps to avoid recurrences .
