Reason For Facial Pain And Swollen Gland?

I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. Now I'm noticing every three to six weeks I get really swollen glands and the facial pain comes back, AND I have been breaking out really bad on the lower part of my face. We've been joking it's my pimple beard. I've always had clear skin. I wonder is this all connected?
