Hi- I usually have an irregular period. However, I felt like after my period last month.. I continued to have p.m.s symptoms- up until now even. I m so irritable. I get throbs in my belly. Last month I got my period on the first. Usually it shows up by the 6th. It still hasn t came. Got a negative at home pregnancy test a week ago. I get sick to my stomach, I am super tired and I just feel not myself? I feel different. I ve been craving weird foods that I normally don t. Could I be pregnant?
Hi, Thanks for the query. The possible causes for your problem are: -You didn't mention your age. Some amount of hormonal imbalance can be seen during late reproductive age and that can lead to these type of symptoms. -Urine pregnancy test kit may not detect early pregnancy sometimes. If you had unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is possibility of pregnancy. So, you once consult gynecologist and get examined. Go for investigations like blood test for pregnancy, ultrasound. If your doctor suggests go for thyroid profile and hormonal profile including estrogen, progesterone, LH and FSH etc. With this workup the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly. Take care.
