Rashes On The Abdomen With Pustules. Is It Due To Jock Itch Or Heroin Abuse?
My son has been a reaccuring herion addict fot 4 years now. He does not live with me so I am not able to determine if he is using or not . However, my gut tells me he is using because of his changes in behavior. He currently has a horrable resh on his abdomen that looks to be infected with small puscular sites,and red and inflamed all just below the waistline. he also has multipal marks along his arms w/ the the same characteristics. He stated it is jock itch I think he is skin poppoppeng. what ealse could the probl4m be

High risk behavior (sexual and IV drug use) is common in heroin users.
In presence of suspected heroin use and behavior problem, his rashes may occur due to following reason:
-Infection and allergy due to intravenous heroin use.
-Poor immunity due to heroin use.
-Vitamin deficiency and poor nutrition
-Jock itch
It is better to get him evaluated and investigated by general physician.
