Rash On Knees, Elbow And Top Of My Feet. Suffering With Cold. Reasons For Developing These Symptoms?

Hi, my son who is 13 months developed a cold and seems to have given it to me however this has really knocked me for six, I normally catch a cold once a year and plough on through but this time I've been very fatigued and have barely left my bed. The worrying thing is that I have now developed a rash on the front of my knees, back of my elbows and top of my feet. My son didn't seem to get any of these symptoms.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
Rash is suggestive of some viral exanthema.
If there is itching, you can apply calamine lotion externally over skin.
And an oral antihistamine like cetirizine can be taken orally by you in prescribed dose.
For the child cold, I suggest you to give cold medication with the prescription from pediatrician.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
