Rash On Chest, Back, Shoulders During Pregnancy. No Itching. Taken Benadryl And Cortisone

I am 32 weeks pregnant and broke out with a rash on my chest back and shoulders about a month ago. It is not at all itchy or anything but it looks bad...I know it's not acne I've had body acne before as a teen and it isn't that same. It is really small whiteheads though. I mentioned it to my doctor on my last visit and he told me to take Benadryl but it hasn't helped. I've also tried Cortozone cream and it hasn't helped either...

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Rashes in pregnant can be divided into those caused by (1) hormonal changes(2) worsening of a skin problem that was present before pregnancy (3) pregnancy specific rashes

There are different pregnancy specific rashes :(1) prurigo of pregnancy (2) intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (3)pruritic urticarial plaques and papules of pregnancy (4) pruritic folliculitis of pregnancy (5) impetigo herpetiformis

In most of these oral anti histamines and topical steroids are used. You have used both.
You can consider speaking to your doctor to determine if any of these rashes are present and if alternative medication can be used safely and effectively.

I hope this helps
