Rapid Heart Palpitation, Suffering From Atrial Fibrillation. Suggestions?

Hi I suffer with atrial fibrillation. Lately l have been experiencing rapid heart palpitations which wake me up early in the morning. I can usually get the rate down by taking beta blockers otherwise I am afraid it will turn into AF. I am seeing my cardiologist soon, but I am just worried in case there is anything sinister going on. Thank you! Patricia

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

If rhythm can not be controlled, one has to settle for rate control...
Take beta blockers regularly / and anticoagulation too...
You may even need Electro Physiological Studies (EPS) - for diagnosis as well as treatment (ablation / isolation)
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
