Ran 3 Miles, Never Doing Exercise, Sore And Burning Feeling In Centre Of Chest,

I ran 3 miles on the treadmill last night .. I have not done any exercice in 3 years.. I am 40 years old 5 10 205 lbs.. Is it normal to have a sore and burning feeling in mainly the center of my chest the next day.. Do your lungs and heart get sore like other muscles do when they are worked after not being worked for a while?? I have no other symtoms other than the sore burning feeling.. Thanks

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The sore and burning feeling in the center of your chest after an unusual exercise on treadmill is not likely to be a muscular pain like other limb muscles. Cardiac causes and reflux esophagitis needs to be ruled out. Checking the cardiac status will be helpful.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.

dear one
welcome to H C M
The sore and burning feeling in the center of your chest after 24 hours of exercise on treadmill is not likely a common feature. Cardiac causes needs to be ruled out. Checking the cardiac status will be helpful. as its appearance is very late,it may be simple muscular pain as you get tired due to treadmill.you also do not have symptoms like -sweating or breathlessness,so have anti -inflammatory,analgesics tablets, see cardiologist ,get e c g done--relax.
