Putting Cortisone Drops For Ear Infection, Red Puss Coming Out, Itching, Inflamed. Will It Cure?

I have had an ear infection for two weeks now and have been putting antibiotic cortisone drops in it for a week, as directed by the ER doctor who said that I have an outer ear infection, but that my ear channel was so inflamed that he could not see all the way in. The swelling has gone down a lot, but I am getting red puss out of my ear. Most of the time, it just itches and feels inflamed, in addiction to the clogged feeling. I do have pain associated with eating. What should I do now. I was directed to take the drops for 7 days.

Hi, it appears that you have infection in the external ear, as a boil, the discharge is due to bursting of the boil. It needs to be treated by oral antibiotics and antiinflamatories .
So i advise you to consult an ENT surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
