Pulse rate high, BP is normal. Done ECG. What does this mean?
Hi, may I answer your health queries? Please type your query here...today my pulse rate during ECG was above 150 .I was bit tensed during ECG.Doctor told me to relax and she waited for few min and It came down to 99 and 92 respectively.It was my pre- employment check up.It wasnt happened before.do I have any problem???kindly suggest me .My BP is 120/ YYYY@YYYY have any report right now.few months back I have done ECG for my fibroid surgery.that time it was normal

Most probable cause for this high heart was anxiousness related to a pre-employment check-up. Whenever there is an increase in heart rate (which is otherwise normal in origin, which i presume was there in your case) we look for a cause for this increase. anxiety is one of such causes. since your heart rate came down to 92 after relaxation, it further gives us assurance. second reassurance comes from your being fit and a normal ECG during fibroid surgery. if your ECG was otherwise normal (when the doctor did it at 92) then you need not worry. hopefully it was just the stress which increased your heart rate. please feel free to write if you have any more concern.
