Pulled out infected eyebrow hair, swollen top eyelid. Tried warm and cold compresses. Cure?

I had an infected eyebrow hair that pulled out a couple of days ago and yesterday and today my top eyelid is swollen. I have tried warm and cold compresses and ice packs, but it is still swollen. I am wondering if I need to make an appt with either my doctor or my eye doctor or if there is something more I can do at home for it. Help

General & Family Physician 's  Response
if the eye remains swollen and painful, its an indication of a possible infection. It s not a very good idea to undermine conditions as such.
There is a facial condition called malignant facial staphylococosis, which might develop in some rare cases if left untreated and could be fatal.
However, you family physician can easily evaluate and make an appropriate diagnosis. Treatment is based on anti inflammatory drugs, analgesics and appropriate anti biotics.
Consulting your family physician, in my opinion, could be sufficient. Its advisable to do that a bit faster.
Thanks and best regards,
