My right upper eye lid is puffy and feels bruised. When I touch it there is a soft lump but it is not visible from the inside or outside of the lid. I am taking advil for the pain which makes it liveable. Any suggestions as to what it may be?
Welcome to health care magic family,
You might have some infection in upper eye lid due to some foreign body like dust fallen in eye causing irritation and mild infection. It may be in the form of bruise or ulcer.
In this advil is not enough, you have to take some antibiotic and eye drops locally and hot fomentation.

Hello Doctor, I met with an accident 2.5 months ago. I fell by my face hitting right cheek on the ground. Post that i had little bruising under my eye which has gone by now. But I have soft lump and the skin around it has become very hard and stiff because of which i feel uneasy to smile. (Even if i smile i notice a kind of hole on my upper cheek. I consulted with an Ortho as well as cosmetic surgeon. They both told that this will subside by its own and will take a month more to vanish fully. Please suggest me something.
I fell and hit my head of the pavement, hard, about a month ago. I was bruised quite a bit ... had a serious black eye. Went to the ER and had an MRI. Everything looked good and nothing was broken. I followed the directions for the recoup time. Today where I hit my forehead is feeling bruised again. It is tender to the touch as if I had a bruise there. There is no lump and no discoloration. It appears normal.
Hi, I knocked my head into an open cabinet door. The result was a major lump that felt filled with fluid to the touch. Several days later, (maybe, 4) the lump has decreased slightly, but now I have a black eye that is swollen but doesn t hurt. BTW, I don t feel that I have lost any cognitive skills due to the accident. My question: How long till the purple bruising goes away from my eye socket? Also, since I don t feel the knock in the head has caused me any detriment to my consciousness nor any problem with my ability to think about complex subjects, must I go to the doctor? Or, will this most likely subside?
I am getting a uterine biopsy soon and have a very low tolerance for pain. I have never had children and my cervix is tight. I am 59 years old. I was give Cytotec to take the night before. I understand this can cause severe cramping. When I did get my period before menopause the cramps were severe - I had to take heavy doses of Advil 5 days BEFORE it started and then Darvon on the first 2 days. I thought for the biopsy I would take Mobic 5 days before and then Percocet a hour before the biopsy ( I have discussed this with my dr.) Any other suggestions? I am a wreck! Thank you!
Over a week ago, I tried to step up a large step and missed it and stepped down really hard just before the large step and now I feel a pain shooting down my leg from my hip area. I have been taking advil for a week and using a heating pad but it does not seem to help.
after 10 years of gross hematuria, flank pain, and surgery to remove a tumor wrapped around my ureter, I have been diagnosed with alport syndrome. The flank pain is constant, I take 6 advil every 4 hours and that really doesn t help. Anything I can take that is not a narcotic?
I had a jaw bone graft put in Monday. I ve had a lot of swelling. I started using Arnica Montana herbal cream last night. I am also using Advil. I just noticed BRIGHT blue prominent veins on my chest, breasts and pelvis. Just wondering if I should go to ER?
