My 64 year old brother had a brain tumor removed on Monday. The tumor was the size of an apple ...according to the surgeon it was 100 per cent removed...today we ,earned that it was gliodoblastic ...excuse spelling...and will more than likely come back...chemo and radiation are on the horizon...my brother has had epilepsy since his mid twenties...what is your gut about his prognosis?
Hi, Can you tell me more about the ketogenic diet. I have a friend battling a 6 year Glioblastoma tumor. She is currently up at the Dana Farber Institute going through a clinical trial and just got accepted into a 2nd trial..called Immunotherapy. I am a certified Health Coach who teaches individuals about a plant based diet. I am not vegan, but believe in the power of plants and disease prevention. My health mentor thinks that my friend should look more into the ketogenic diet b/c of the success rates with it and brain tumors. Any advice? I am in charge of organizing all of the food being brought to her and her family. I had a plan, but not feel like I need to re-think what I am having her friends and volunteers make. Thanks in advance for your input. Caroline :)
Hello sir/Mam , My father is suffering from Brain Tumor as doctor said to me .Following report i got from doctor after MRI BRAIN - CONTRAST. Findings :- There is presence of large irregular area of heterogenous signal intensity in left temporo-parietal region on T2 WI and FLAIR images . It appears illdefined iso to hypointense on T1 WI . GRE shows internal hypointensity , suggest possibility of calcification . There is presence of mass effect on left lateral ventricle , which is partially effacedd with 9 mm mid line shift to the right . Contrast study shows mild illdefined enhancement of lesion . It shows local invasion of left lateral ventricle in the region of trigone and proximal occipital horn . Left hemisphere shows presence of oedema . The cerebral white and gray matter show normal configurational pattern and signal intensities in T1 and T2 weighted scan in right hemisphere . The basal gangalia , thalami , brain stem and cerebellum show normal MR signal intensities . The pituitary gland is normal in size and shows normal MR signal intensity . The ventricular system shows mild delatation . No abnormal parenchymal or meningeal enhancement . The CSF is the cerebral sulci and the intracranial cisternal spaces show no abnormality . Major flow voids are preserved . IMPRESSION :- Findings suggest possibility of mass in left tempo-parietal region locally invading trigone of left lateral ventricle , mass effect and with internal calcification . Possibility of oligodendroglioma should be considered . Report from Apollo Hospitals , Gandhinagar , Gujrat .

In 2005, after three weeks but replic negativice virus. I have an F4 fibrosis with 46.3. My doctor is optimistic, I'm fine just the GGT was 600 units. Hello, I will be starting Telepivir in Mid March but I was just prescribed Buspar to help manage my anxiety during the day. I have xanax but I dont like to use them during the day. I save them for sleep at night. Under major interactions with Buspar/telepivir i:MONITOR: Coadministration with telaprevir may increase the plasma concentrations of drugs that are metabolized by CYP450 3A4. The mechanism is decreased clearance due to inhibition of CYP450 3A4 activity by telaprevir.. besides meditation i already at least attempt. I want to Sleep at night and I need my anxiety managed during day.. What other meds might be recommended instead
