Pressure In The Head, Face And Ears. Cold And Fever. Lump Under The Chin. Need To Go To The ER?

My sister has been sick with cold/ flu symptoms for about 2 weeks. It seemed to be getting better just a lingering cough and some still yellowish mucus drainage. Today on her way home she had some very strange very large pressure in her head, face, ears, chin and back of her head. Not the top though. It felt like so much pressure like a balloon she said that might pop?! It reached a peak and gradually receeded but now she has a obvious and tender lump under her chin and a strange feeling in her head. No headache. No dizziness . No weakness. No slurred speech. What do you think? ER time?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcare magic.Thank you for the query.
It looksl like respiratory infection such as sinusitis or severe flu and you dont have to be concerned. This lump is probably swollen lymh node and this is usually seen in any such infection. YOu can treat her at home by est, plenty of fluids, lower fever, take lot of vitamin c and avoid cold environment.
Wish you good health. Regards
