Prescribed With Arachitol For Low Vitamin D Levels. Is It A Safe Medication?

My vitamin D levels stand at 10. As for the history of my levels I've no clue. This was the firs time I got it done, jus randomly. M 28 years. Upon visiting a rheumatologist, he has prescribed a single dose of arachitol, along with a test - ANA. My questions to you are:-
1. Is my Vitamin D level drastically low?
2. How difficult is it to push the levels higher?
3. How safe and effective is Arachitol?
4. If you could give me an overview on implication of Vitamin D level.
5. Anything else that you think I should know.

answer 1) yaa it is drastically low.
answer 2) no it not not difficult to raise it to normal level. have proper sun exposure in a week (atlest 15 minutes twice weekly) and medication.
answer 3) yaa it is safe & effective
answer 4) low vit. d3 is associated with diabetes, low bone density, even hyper triglyceride level.
