Prescribed progesterone vaginal and sustene in pregnancy,any side effects taking endogest in place of sustene ?
I am now six weeks pregnant .No other medical problems in history (only 1 abortion n five weeks last year)Doctor prescribed me progesterone vaginal dose. Sustene200 twice a day.Whether it has any side effects or harm and pharmacist gave me endogest instead of susten. Whether both are same?Any side effects on using endogest during trimester to foetus .

You are carrying 6 wks pregnancy now with history of 1 abortion last year.
SUSTEN or ENDOGEST cap both are same in composition and contains Natural Micronised Progesterone.It is basically used in maintenance of pregnancy in case of threatened or habitual abortion in early weeks.
Along with you can take Folic Acid tab to avoid birth defect.
Side effects are less like Drowsiness, giddiness, weight gain/loss/rash, Breast tenderness or Headache etc.
So careful about any alarming sign like bleeding,pain abdomen etc and consult with your gynecologist.
