Prescribed Ogastro, Dizziness. What Is The Cause And Treatment?

Dears Sirs: I have to take 30 mg daily of ogastro (lanzoprazol I believe it is the same as prevacid) before breakfast because I suffer from gerd. This morning, thinking I had not taken my dose I took another dose this morning. Then I checked out the package and saw I had already taken my dose. I am feeling a little bit dizzy. What should I do and what are the consequences. Will I have any long lasting negative effects?

Sincerely

Carlos Gomez-Vila (54 years)

hello Carlos, dizziness is a potential side effect of this medication. It is not anything serious or to be worried about and will not have any long time or long term lasting negative effects. Once the medicine washes out of your system and the next day or so much better. I do not think that your dizziness, unless it is causing consistent and persistent lightheadedness, chest pain, or shortness of breath is anything that is urgent or emergent. I can reassure you that taking a next or dose of Prevacid is not dangerous, and he will be fine within a few hours most likely. cheers.have a great day.
