Prescribed Zioral, Zofix, Enterogermina For Diarrhea. How Long To Recover?
Hi , my child is suffering from Diarrhea, doctor has given zioral, zofix and Enterogermina and asked us to give ORS solution to keep her hydrated. Even after 4 dose there is not much improvement. The frequency of stool is still around 10 per day. After every breastfeed she is having motion. How long this will take and is there any way to reduce the frequency of stool
You have not mentioned the age of your daughter. It is very common for neonates to pass a motion after every breast feed. Presuming your daughter to be less than 4 weeks I am not worried about the frequency as long as she is passing urine 5-6 times in a day.
In case she has infective diarrhoea for which the medication mentioned by you have been prescribed, it shall take 48-72 hours for the antibiotics to act. If there is no improvement then get a stool routine examination done.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
