Prescribed Progyluton For Polycystic Ovaries. Opinion About Other Pills Like Diane35 Or Yasmin?

25 years old unmarried girl taking progyluton for polycistic problem. I used to take Diane 35 for almost 4 years(No improvement) and i last stop taking it in march 2013 and since then my period has stopped for 5 months or even more. i went to visit my doctor and she told me to start with progyluton for 3 to 6 months because i have the polycistic problem. my doctors said that my hormons test is excelent and everything is normal. I am just looking for a second opinion if i should start taking progyluton or diane or yasmin pills? I am worried about the side effects of these pills but i dont seem to have another option. my current conditions are oily skin, dandruff,     skin discolorations, Weight gain.

Hi Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The causes for the absence or irregularity of the periods, are anemia, infection, P.C.O.S.etc.
Of course the pills may cause the weight gain, but the weight gain may be due to some other cause like high calorie diet, sedantary living, etc.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment, besides the usage of the pills.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts and
protein rich foods, to support the treatment.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
