Hello dear...

Prednisone is a corticosteroid.

The management of Contact dermatitis involves administration of corticosteroids, which acts as an anti-inflammatory agent for treating the condition.
Long term use may have side effects like increased susceptibility to infection, easy bruising, abnormal fat distribution in body, etc.
Symptoms aggravate if medication is stopped abruptly.
So, while discontinuing the medication, its dose should be tapered gradually instead of stopping it abruptly.
Hence the medications & the dosages as prescribed by your Doctor are correct, kindly continue them as advised.

However, in case of any unwanted side effects, kindly consult him regarding reduction of dose, instead of stopping them all of a sudden.
