Prescribed Clindamycin And Clotrimazole For Vaginal Infection. How Much To Use?

Hi, doctor I am having a vaginal infection membrane is getting thin , my family doctor prescribe me clindamycin and clotrimazole soft gelatin capsule she told me to put this capsule into my vagina but she did not told about the volume how much i have to put in ,( if can help me by telling how to and how much to take and how many times a day i should take it please prescribe the full prescription in detail please)

Hi, thanks for posting on healthcare magic.

Let me help you. The vaginal capsules containing clindamycin and clotrimazole come in packs of 1 or 3 or 6 or 7. So if you have got a 6 capsule pack use them for 6 days(nights) - one per night. Just before going to bed insert one capsule into the vagina. It will melt inside, so may be a liitle messy and that is why it is better to use at bedtime.
