I visited my doctor yesterday for "swimmers ear" - having a reduction in hearing as the main symptom, when she checked she said the canal was narrowing and could see fluid behind the drum. I also brought to her attention left testicle pain, with something the size of a small ball bearing at the top of the testicle, when touching it causes pain. But the pain in the testicle waxes and wanes, sometimes worse and there for a few hours and then goes away. But it is always in the same location. She placed me on ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily for 10 days, a corticosteriod ear drop and claritin 10 mg once per day. She thinks the cipro will also help the testicle problem. So it is now two days taking the antibiotic and neither condition seems to be improving. What do you think?
