I have an earache mainly on the right, sometimes both, and my throat instead of being raw just hurts and throbs, sometimes on exertion. It gets really uncomfortable at night. My husband has a sore throat also but doesnt ache into his ear. Some sinus drainage. Frustrating cause I dont feel sick :(
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symotoms of earache and throat pain which seems to be due to left over respiratory tract infection which is spreading to ear by eustachian tube and causing its dysfunctioning. Need not to worry. You should avoid excessive blowout and eating anything hard from that side. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after thorough examination. You should get audimetery testing, otoscopic ecamination and paranasal sinus X-ray done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should take nasal saline rinses and take steam inhalation as well. Take proper course of antibiotics such as Levofloxacin along with antiinflammatory medication such as Sinarest. Do warm saline gargles. Put antiinflammatory ear drops in ear canals. Avoid touching or pricking ears with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
