Pregnant With Second Child, Severe Cramping In Lower Abdomen, Leaking Clear, Watery Fluid. Reason?

I am 9 weeks pregnant with my second child, and for the past couple days i have been having severe cramping starting around my lower abdomen and shooting straight down. It feels like a contraction. The pain seems to easy when i lay down or am sitting for a long period of time. Also I am leaking a clear, watery fluid that has a sort of sweet scent to it...Kinda freaked out..

Thank you for your query.
Cramps alongwith leakage of watery fluid could point towards an impending abortion.
You should see your gynecologist immediately to look for cervical dilatation or other changes on the ultrasound.
Also, in absence of threatened abortion, this could be a pelvic infection which is causing cramps alongwith watery vaginal discharge .
This also would be confirmed by clinical examination and appropriate swab testing.
Meanwhile it is possible that some amount of normal vaginal discharge is there, alongwith cramps due to an increased gastrointestinal motility or infection.
However, considering the first possibility of threatened abortion, please consult your doctor immediately.
