Pregnant With Abscess In The Shoulder. Can I Take Antibiotics?
Hi I believe, based on prior experience, I have an abscess in my shoulder right by my neck; last week I found out in pregnant just wondering what my options will be so I'm prepared when I go to acute care once it opens. I have a prescription for 650 mg of antibiotics to help with things like this bit assume I should not take them. Also in a lot of pain; barely sleeping

You are pregnant and have developed shoulder abscess. There is nothing to worry, there are antibiotic which are safe and can be taken during pregnancy.You have not mentioned the name of antibiotic prescription of which you have.Consult a physician who may be able to prescribe you antiobiotic which is safe in pregnancy.

1)Size of abscess
2)Location
3)cause for the abscess
If it is small you can safely take antibiotics and paracetamol for pain relief. Its better you consult a gynaecologist.
