Pregnant, Vomiting, Feels Like Lump In The Throat. Anything To Worry?

im pregnant, and trhew up lastnight, pretty hard. it hurt the whole time. i think there was some blood in it but im not sure because my prenatal pill is red, but i took that in the morning. since throwing up, it feels like i have a lump in my throat that wont go away, should i be concerened, or wait a few days to see if it goes away? my mom said i should see a dr. bc she knows someone who was diagnosed with an ulcer in his throat, it ruptured the day of his diagnoses, he choked and died.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query,

Normally when you are pregnant and you feel anything abnormal about your health other than pregnancy symptoms then you should definitely see a doctor. Feeling a lump in your throat or difficulty swallowing generally signifies that there is a swelling in your throat that needs to be cleared up either through medication or through surgery. I suggest that you should see a physician so your throat can be properly examined and the cause identified. The presence of red or bloody vomiting is a sign that there is a serious problem, probably an ulcer or a tumor or an infection. I suggest you should get examined soonest so that proper treatment can be provided.

Hope this helps and wish you the best
