Pregnant, vaginal bleeding. Prescribed microgest capsules. History of miscarriage. Safe to take?

hi, my wife is pregnant for 2.5 weeks.Yesterday she was suffered from some bleeding .I consulted with a gyno doctor.She prescribed to take 3nos microgest 200mg cap per day for 1 month.Is it the right medi for her.i read it could not use in pregnency and it has other side effect like breast cancer . note: 1 year ago she had a miscarraige at 1.5 month.
