Pregnant, Large Boil In Groin Area. Ichthammol Ointment, Black Drawing Slave Suggested. Safe To Use?
I have a boil in my groin area and I am 26 weeks pregnant. I am looking for home remedies, and one suggested was Ichthammol Ointment, black drawing salve. Is this safe to use/try while I am pregnant? If the boil is filled with pus then breaking it with a sterile blade or a needle under aseptic conditions is essential.
Expressing all pus from the boil will ensure its early healing, also do apply BACTROBAN ointment over the broken boil.The Ointment is safe to be used in pregnancy.
