Pregnant, Had Miscarriages. PCOS, Iron-deficiency, Anemia, Have Nausea, Breast Tenderness, Heavy Bleeding. Fear Miscarriage?

My prexisting condition is PCOS and iron-deficiency anemia. About a week and half ago I had some adominal cramping, as it was a week before my scheduled period, I thought maybe I started my period early, but I hadn't started to bleed at all. That night (Friday) I took 2 pregnancy tests and was positive. The two days I took a pregnancy test and both were positive. I had cramping, nausea, breast tenderness, and loss of apetite. The following week (Tuesday) I was still having cramping, slight spotting (only two drops wasn't really concerned), but my other pregnancy symptoms were gone. The next day (Wednesday) I had heavy bleeding and very painful (menstrual cramps). I went to the ER and waited for two and half hours before I finally saw someone. Then, another two and half to get the pregnancy test results: the pregnancy test was negative. My blood test just had low blood count. They didn't check for pregnancy in blood. They gave me pads and papers for how to treat menstrual cramps and PCOS symptoms...they never even addressed the fact that I was having a miscarriage. They said that the tests I taken at home could have been expired. (When I came home I checked both boxes that I used and they were definitely NOT expired. By the date of my last period, I was at the end of six weeks of pregnancy at my miscarriage. A week later, (I bled and had painful cramps while the baby passed for about five days) I am having stabbing left side pain near my ribcage and left shoulder pain. Also, I am having smelly vaginal discharge (tan in color), that can become itchy. I have a OB appointment in three days that I made when I found out I was pregnant. Should I go to the ER or request an earlier appointment? What do I do? What is happening?

Hello ma'am.

Your symptoms do appear like that of a miscarriage, and it is quite likely. If you have successfully passed all the contents of conception then it would be good, but if not, then it can easily lead to infections and other complications.

Yes, it is besr for you to visit youe doctor at an earlier date. Please visit thw ER and request for an earlier date.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
