Pregnant, Fever, Increased RBC Count. Will Baby Be Affected?

I am 24 weeks pregnant.I am running a fever of 102 all day.In the past 2 days,I had rigors for 10 mins each atleast 3 times.I am confused.I had a blood test and a urine test.everything seemed fine except for the RBC count which was 3.52 million which the doctor said was ok bcos of the fever.I am not sure what this is.More importantly,I am using an antibiotic TAXIM 200.Will the baby be affected.I am worried.Please help.Thanks!

Thanks for writing to us.
Since you are having fever with chills, cause of fever needs to be investoigated with appropriate blood tests.
Taking Taxim is not likely to affect the fetus.
