Pregnant, feeling extremely cold all the time, shivering, abdominal cramps. Normal symptoms?

Hi - Im 6 weeks pregnant and feel very cold most of the time. I am constantly shivering and wear extra layers and have the heating on full blast! I also have been experiencing niggling abdominal cramps since before I knew i was pregnant. I have a 22 month old son and dont remember feeling this with his pregnancy. Are these symptoms quite normal? Thanks

Hello, thanks for using health care magic.
Feeling of cold, shivering and abdominal cramps do not appear as normal symptoms especially for pregnant women. The most likely causes could be an infection and includes an enteric fever or malaria and a urinary tract infection should be ruled out.
It is better to consult with a gyns/obsts for an evaluation and for tests such as stool, urinalysis, widal serology and complete blood count in a bit to understand what could be the cause of the symptoms.
Best regards and hope this helps.
