The doctor prescribed my husband and I the medication and the next appointment I had they swabbed me and got the results and I was clear of it. Now in my 2nd pregnancy I was swabbed for infection which turns out I have chlamydia. How does that happen. When Ive been only with my husband and one else and the same with him.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Chlamydial infection is known to remain asymptomatic for long duration of time.
The infection cleared up but it is possible for the infection to flare up after some time.
At this point of time, you and your partner need to avoid sexual contact.
It is important to treat chlamydial infection since it can cause intrauterine growth restriction or intrauterine death.
Consult your gynecologist before taking any medication since, any drug taken during pregnancy reaches the fetus and can cause harm to the fetus.

Thanks and take care
