Pregnant And Taking Multiple Drugs. Taking OxyContin And Subutex. Might Have Smoked Heroin. Will It Affect The Baby?

We found out 3 weeks ago, my daughter- in-law, who is about 6 months pregnant, has been taking multiple drugs which began with a cancer (Burkitt's Lymphoma) cure 3 yrs ago. She stated they sent her home on 80 mg. OxyContin q4hr. I believe she has also taken (smoked) heroin. She is now on Subutex. What kind of baby can we expect? Worried sick!

HI,
Opiets & specially heroin taken during pregnancy is hazardous for baby in many ways.
It may lead to miscarraige, premature birth, low birth weight,Delayed growth, breathing problems, addiction or withdrawal symptoms.
- She should be taken to specialist & gradually get rid of the bad habbits.
- It's better to inform the doctor,so that he will check for the results from time to time & prescribe for minimizing the side effects.
Thanks
