Pregnant, Advised Vitalin Forte Tablets. Is It Safe During Pregnancy?

Hi Dr.,
I am 12 weeks pregnant and my gynaec advised me to take Vitalin Forte tablets as it is higher version of folic acid, And I have been taking from almost 2 months. I am worried if it is safe to take during pregnancy.
The composition of Tablet is as below:
L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate Calcium - 800mcg
Methylcobalamin - 1500 mcg
Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate - 500 mcg
DHA(40%) - 200 mg
Excipients - Q.S

Please let me know if it is safe.

Thanks for sharing your concern,

You are absolutely safe with mentioned medicine...

Its a folic acid containing medicine and is recommended in early months of pregnancy and of course you can continue throughout pregnancy period..it helps to prevent birth defect related to baby's brain and spinal cord developement....

But dose you have to take according to prescription only...
