i am pregnant of four months.dr. prescribed me to take allylestrenol.now i want to know what is its roll of allylestrenol in 2nd trimester during pregnancy?

Allylestrenol is progesterone hormone used in cases where its deficiency is suspected.
 progesterone is important for growth of fetus and nourishment to placenta.
Use of this hormone helps in avoiding abortion.
