Pregnant. What Is Prinatology Test?
Goodmorning Doctor I have to ask you about my wife. She is five months pregnent. I had a second opinion form a doctor from Ernakulam. She is 36yrs. After scanning i was told everything is fine. They have requested to do a prinatology test. what is it, if I do that test will thee be any side effect for the child or the mother. Please do send me a reply. Pradeep

This test is advised for high risk pregnancy.
It has got few side effects like,
excessive bleeding,miscarriage,infection,rupture of membrane.
So before going for this test discuss with your Obst.
