Pregnant. Taking plenty of water and rest. Is it safe to take l-arginine during pregnancy?

Hello, my wife is 39week pregnant, due date is 17th June. On 6th June it was found that she has low amniotic fluid (8.0 cm). So doctor advised to take plenty of water and take rest and gave L- arginine (powder form) daily twice for 7 days to up the amniotic fluid level. Please suggest by taking L-arginine twice a day for a 7 days is OK or not.

Normal amniotic fluid is with AFI 10 to 15,
AFI 8 is slightly less amount of amniotic fluid,
So better let your wife follow instructions of your doctor,
She can take l-arginine sachets as,
l-arginine and water intake will increase amniotic fluid by reducing and stabilizing plasma osmolality.
Take care.
