Pregnant. Taking Duphaston For Bleeding. Safe In Pregnancy?
i am about 6 weeks pregnant (last mantruation on 24 may) and i saw fresh blood drop on 2 july. as i hav taken duphaston 10 mg 1 tab daily before sleep and now my doctor suggested me to take duphaston on morning time also for few days. is my pregnancy on critical condition or is it unsafe for my pregnancy. i was going through 2 iui sittings on 31 may & 1 june 2013. pls reply.
In early pregnancy minimal spotting can be seen due to many causes other than miscarriage. Refer:http://srsree.blogspot.in/2013/06/causes-of-bleeding-per-vaginum-other.html So if your spotting is not continuous and not associated with symptoms like pain abdomen etc., no need to worry. You can continue the progesterone tablets adviced by your doctor. But better to prefer natural micronized progesterones as much as possible. Welcome to HCM. Duphaston is a hormone and absolutely safe to take during pregnancy. If your progesterone levels are too low, so are your chances to keep the baby, so it's usually recommended in the first trimester. Keep in touch with your doctor.
