Pregnant. Fetal Cardiac Activity Not Seen In Scan. Should I Go For Abortion?
good evening Dr...my sister she is 6weeks 5days pregnant old..when we went take sonography gyanaecologist told us everything is noramal but foetal cardiac activity is not seen.......she said that have under go for abortion ..my question is in which week cardiac activity is gong to stat,if its not started by 6th week what will be the treatment......kindly guide me...thank you....i dnt have money to give you..plz help me

Early USG scan (abdominal) may not reveal detailed view about fetal pole or cardiac activity. Basically it is seen around 7-8 wks in case of USG scan and around 6 wks on TVS scan. So it is better to undergo one TVS scan for confirmation of fetal viability. Otherwise it may turn to miscarriage due to blighted ovum. Further consultation with gynecologist is needed.
Take folic acid supplements, protein rich diet, avoid long journey/heavy work, maintain personal hygiene, take adequate rest. Be well and take care.
