Possibility Of Having Menieres Disease. Vertigo, Nausea After Having Acyclovir. Should I Continue Same Medication?

My husband has possible Meniere's disease and took his first dose of acyclovir yesterday. He'd already had bad vertigo and nausea and within 15 minutes after taking the pill, became immobilized with it. Couldn't move his head at all. Took the rest of the day to recover. The exact same thing happened today upon taking the pill so we know he's very sensitive to this medication. Should he continue with this? Life for him has been miserable for the past week. I should mention that he also got an injection in his inner ear 3 days ago. His hearing is still gone. The last time he had an attack like ths 2 years ago, the injection worked quickly.
