Possibility Of Combination Of Omeprazole, Clonazepam Showing A False-positive For Temazepam Or Oxazepam In Urine Drug Test?

Is it possible that a combination of proton-pump inhibitor ( omeprazole ) and clonazepam could show as a false-positive for temazepam or oxazepam in urine drug test. Both PPI and clonazepam are prescribed by a doctor, but child protection agency tested me and lab results gave positive results for substances that I haven t used and shouldn t be using. Please help!

There is a remote possibility of a false-positive result with any drug screen. Since clonazepam is a benzodiazepine medication, belonging to the same class as temazepam or oxazepam, it could be the reason for a false positive result.

If you are certain that you have not taken any other medication, then you can take up this issue with the authorities, with the help of a responsible adult. Since, you have been prescribed these medication by a doctor, you can inform the authorities about this and show them the prescription.
