Positive Pregnancy Test, Taken Isotrin But Stopped It Due To Side Effects. Effect On Fetus?
hi my wife was taking isotrin 10 ,but after taking 7 doses she started getting side effects and hence she stopped taking the pill and at same time today my wifes pregnency test came positive . will these pill effect the baby and at wht rate

isotrin is category X drug in pregnancy,
means there is evidences of teratogenicity in both animal studies and human studies,
as this drug is well known to causes preterm labor, miscarriage, birth defects etc,
you better consult gynecologist,
discuss this issue with her and then with her advice you can go for termination,
and try to use contraceptives one month before to one month after treatment of isotrin.
