Please tell the number range required to prescribe iron supplement after blood test?

hi , i am fadi batarseh , i am a new graduate physician , i volunteered in a mission and they want me to take the decision of giving women and children iron supplements accourding to blood laboratory test of cbc and ferretin , can u help me by giving me the number range that requires me to prescribe iron , and how long ?? yours ...

This is prudent to give iron suppliment after confirmation of iron deficiency this is one of common anaemia in women and children.males hemoglobin
Once anemia is there it is oral iron elemental is given . Low dose may be used as lower dose better tolerated.

rate of rise of hemoglobin is invesely proportional to initial Hb level.

In approxemately 6 to 8 weeks Hb may become normal but suppliments must continue for 6 monts to replenish body iron stores.
